News from December

Unfortunatly I have to say that Aion was disappointment. Even thought I had to pay for game and subscription (and buy new computer as well), it got boring pretty fast. Same zones, same content, same mobs, almost impossible to level up to max level unless you grind day and night.. well, you get the point. Except the nice graphics, game isn't worth what I paid for it.

I was thrilled to hear that Icecrown citadel patch came out in WoW. I will wait till my subscription with Aion runs out and buy subscription for WoW again. I still have few characters there waiting for me and my lovely guild as well. Also I can't wait for the big patch that might come out next year - underwater battles and remap of starting zones - that is quite thrilling.

While I'm bored out of Aion and still hasn't bought WoW subscription, all I have left is manga. And nice surprise here too. OneManga.com launched Beta.OneManga.com, that allows to save mangas I like and it even saves at the last read manga chapter too. I'm in love with this interface - bye, bye my old bookmarks and hello to onemanga account :D

Where is the 37 chapter of 1/2 prince?

I got hooked in 1/2 Prince manga at the start of September (read it all in one night of course), reread it again like week ago... but why, oh why, they are releasing chapters so slowly? It should have been released monthly, but it is more than one and half-month since last chapter and its still not up. I'm quite disappointed.

While waiting for this manga I found one pretty funny manga called Minami Ke - it kinda reminds me of Lucky Star. It involves 3 sisters high-schooler, middle-schooler and elementary student living together and their school friends. It doesn't have so much thought into it as Lucky Star, but its full of misunderstandings.

Another news - I finally ordered computer (and actually paid for it) where I will be able to install Aion on. This means there is very little left till I will be grinding Aion with my own character.

Big companies bureaucracy

Sometimes I wander about all the procedures around the big companies such as banks, tax offices and energy suppliers. It seems as company grows, it takes more time for you to get what you want from them. Here is 3 real stories from what had happened in last month with them. I'm just getting mad that they waste so much of my time

1) Energy supplier.
They sent me out cheque to my old address. I never received it. Asked to send them again. After 1 week it appeared they still haven't sent it. We made a lot of noise around CEO and he made sure cheque is sent. And of course it wasn't sent for the right amount so now I have to bang on them again.

2) Bank.
Wanted to do quick bank cheque lodgement from one bank to another. Went to bank 1 they said they might do bank draft, but it will take 5 days to lodge so we should ask bank 2 how to lodge it faster. So I went to bank 2 who said that they can't lodge it faster and maybe we can do interbank transfer that might take quicker. I went back to bank 1 which said they need "collection" letter from bank 2 so that cheque would be lodged from closest branch. I went back to bank 2 and asked for this letter. They said that it is not after "bank procedures", but said they will sent it anyway. I went back to bank 1 and ensured that they know what to do when that letter comes. Next day called them and the money was "reserved for withdrawal" but didn't appear on account till evening.

3) Tax office.
I needed to get tax clearance certificate quick. Their main office is out in the country so I kept calling guy from there to ask can I get certificate if I go to office in my city. After 5 calls and 2 mails between their own employees they agreed to that. So I went to office today and in reception got person on call who promised to send somebody down. After some wait fire drill training started (which happens only once per year and I was just lucky to get there for it). So just as all employees I was sent to the nearby park. Meanwhile I met guy who came here from other tax office to give back jacket he accidentally took last time. He introduced me to 5 other people, who was very eager to help and all heard my story of what I need. They all said that they will sort it out as soon as we get back. I felt a bit famous when I got back to their office. I spent another 20 min talking with person who was responsible for my tax clearance certificate. Now I have to wait till Monday and call them for that certificate number.

Nosebleed

Have you ever wandered why there is nosebleed in the mangas and animes? Well, I just did a bit of research over the net to check is there a real scientific foundation behind it. Apparently not. It's just something that replaces "sexual arousal" in manga or anime. I found one really funny forum post about it. Check it out - it explains all the ideas you might have about it.

Over the weekend I saw amazing movie. It's on the top 250 on imdb called "Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain". Story goes around a girl called Amelia. She is unusual one. The way she thinks or does things are not always clear, but it is very amousing to watch it. At the end I felt like I should actually go and do something unusual myself.

Btw, there was another chapter of Skip Beat! I love it. Makes me laugh always. I still haven't seen anime of it, but I guess that its not translated yet.

If you noticed my avatar, then you know that my second favorite manga is 1/2 Prince. Even thought it has chapters like once per month, I can't wait till next one! As I play MMORPG's such as Aion and WoW it made me very close to this manga. Because a lot of those things is something you wouldn't know unless you play and you can really enjoy manga only if you know it. I'm still wandering - is the manga really around Second Life MMORPG as I have never played it.

While searching for Second Life, WoW and Aion comparisons (not sure there is any - I just found quite a lot of emotional feeds by WoW fans that is saying bad things about Aion) I found quite nice place to see all MMO news. Looking into it now

Japanese movie

I got woke up tonight by my boyfriends alarm clock. He wants to change his way of working by going to sleep earlier and starting to work at 3 o'clock. Well... now he still sleeps, but I'm awake ;)

For this half hour when I tried to fall asleep again, I remembered of a Japanese movie, the only one I have ever seen - "Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu (Be With You)". I saw it without subtitles, but even with my poor understanding of Japanese language (which of course comes from animes) it was beautiful. Its love story, but it reveals itself very slowly. Very emotional and I did cried at the end.

I have never read book about it, but maybe it is worth buying.

xxxHolic

I got suggestion from the girl in Aion legion that I should read xxxHolic manga. So I spend last night till 2pm and read whole 187 chapters. I wasn't really impressed by that kind of manga, however it really struck me how it was linked with two other mangas I know - Tsubasa Chronicles and CardCaptor Sakura. xxxHolic has quite good rating over the onemanga.com, but well... each and every person has genre they like best :) And mine is school life and shoujo manga.

I went through the finances again today. Dark... very dark. If I don't work harder, I might end without money by the end of the year. :,(

Munto

I spent all night yesterday watching 9 episodes of Munto. While it had quite a bad reviews over Anime Network - I found it really sweet.

I was expecting a bit more of the ending thought. At least for the main characters to fall in love or get together. It has this feeling that there should be more.

I searched over web yesterday and found that they released movie after the OVA series. However that movie has the same plot and won't bring me more into what happened after.

On positive side - I got weaponsmith on Aion for my boyfriend character up to 80 while watching anime.

I would love to buy Aion account myself, but it might be troublesome at this time because my computer is quite old (3 years) and might have bad lag in game. And as usual we have money problems. But they are easy to overcome.

I joined "default" Aion legion yesterday. I love community in games.

Back to personal blog

After 1,5 year not using this blog, I decided to try it out once more. I deleted all personal information and unpublished a lot of posts (i had 32, now only 3 can be seen). I won't be posting here my pictures or anything that will show my real personality.

Basically - this blog would be for my online community. I play online games and read a lot of manga. I can't really show that to people whom I do business with or my family. They just wouldn't understand it.

I hope this will be nice comeback as I keep thinking all the time - I should have wrote this to blog and that to blog, but can't really write it for people I know in real.

So what we are coming back to? What I'm up to now?

1. I play Aion Online. At least I intend to play it, just haven't bought account yet. I keep playing with my boyfriend account. I used to play WoW for about 2 years and quit it in August.
2. I read a lot of manga and watch a lot of anime. I might right reviews of them time to time.
3. I keep finding interesting links and information online. So I might share them as well.
4. Emotions - everything that makes me do things in the way I do them
